On Friday, April 25th, Move Forward Music and Deepa Management present the debut of Get Crunk or Die Tryin', a new event at The Knitting Factory focused on bringing live music back into the fold as the cornerstone of a bad ass dance party. An amalgamation of funk, hip-hop, and soul, Get Crunk or Die Tryin' is a party powered by live bands alongside a DJ, featuring live performances by Brooklyn's own Pimps of Joytime and Los Angeles funk-enthusiasts Stex Jebba (in their first-ever NYC show), with a little turntable flavor added by emerging Miami crate-digger, DJ Phil Anthony.
