Are you interested in Public Radio?

Feet in Two Worlds is looking for ethnic media reporters in the New York area who want to learn public radio production skills and who have ideas for compelling stories that have not been reported in the mainstream media. Feet in Two Worlds offers radio production training and mentoring to ethnic media journalists who want to produce stories for public radio.

Feet in Two Worlds trainees receive a stipend as well as payment for radio pieces they produce that are accepted for broadcast on WNYC, New York Public Radio.

A limited number of positions are open for working journalists who meet our criteria:
A minimum of three years experience as a working journalist. A letter of recommendation from your editor or publisher. Ability to participate in all Feet in Two Worlds activities. Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in English. Story ideas that may be known to ethnic media audiences, but which have not been reported in the mainstream English-language press.
Some radio and television productions skills are helpful, but not required.

The application deadline is Feb 15, 2007.
