Asian American Dance Performances presents
trans·la·tions: dancing the intersection of race, gender, and sexuality

Performance Dates:
Friday June 9th, Saturday June 10th, Sunday, June 11th at CounterPULSE, 8pm
Kick-Off Celebration Thursday May 4th at SomARTS Cultural Center, 6-9pm

AADP is currently seeking submissions from Asian/Asian American and Pacific Islander artists or companies working in dance/performance art, in all genres; from traditional to contemporary expressions. Each performance showcase must be 5-15 minutes in length. Artists will be paid a small honorarium with opportunities to make additional income or be featured in additional performances promoting the concert.

Mail complete contact information and a press kit including:
*Proposal of the work you will perform (include relevant information such as title, name(s) and number of performer(s), music, technical requirements, etc…)
*Artist biography or Choreographer/Director biography/resume
*2-3 photographs- highest resolution, with name of photographer and dancer(s)
*DVD or VHS of a related performance.
*Supplementary materials such as List of Past Performances, CD recordings, and letters of recommendation are also accepted. Press kits and videos will not be returned unless they include a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope.
