Parag Khanna is the Global Governance Fellow at the Brookings Institution and an associate of the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University. Born in Kanpur, India, he was raised in Dubai, New York and Germany, and most recently lived for two years in Geneva while working for the World Economic Forum. He has traveled extensively in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Parag studied geopolitics and philosophy in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown. He has written for the New York Times, Financial Times, Los Angeles Times, Foreign Policy, Prospect and Slate.com, and has been featured on CNN International, National Public Radio (NPR) and Doordarshan (India). His obsessions include tennis, reading and cooking.
